What to say about me as a photographer?
First you need to know this. I love creating photographs. I mean I LOVE it. Ask anyone about their shoot and they’ll tell you I love what I do. No one gets more excited when the vision works than me.
Another thing is this: I’m an artist first and photographer second. I make a distinction. Anyone can use a camera to record light. You know? Point and shoot? Then there are documentary photographers. I like doing that, but it’s not what floats my photographic boat. Me? I consider myself a portrait artist. I want to create portraits that literally make people stop and look at someone like they’ve never look at them before. That gives me a charge.
One more thing: I don’t get in a hurry when it comes to this. I want to skip good, run past pretty, and get right to fantastic. What I do takes time both on the shoot and after the shoot. When I deliver, though, I intend for it to be amazing. You might not get 1,000 shots to see even if I took that many. I see no reason to waste time on marginal shots. You might not see a million shots but what I show will be my best. I am a brutal editor and exacting in my technique.
Oh, and something else. I like to have a good time. I don’t take things too seriously. I want to create an experience for my subjects. I want you looking your best in a place that’s amazing and taken care of by the best assistants, make-up artist and hair stylist I can find and I’ve found some amazing people to work with.
Dream something up! Dream something amazing! Let me make it real for you!
